Coming Home

A Welcoming Back to a Place You Know

Happy New Year, my friends.

After a rather lengthy pause, I’m happy to share with you the first edition of Weaving Wisdoms for 2025 — soon to be followed by weekly writings to warm your inboxes with love & growth.

We’ll begin with a piece titled, Coming Home.

There is a place I visit often with clients and friends.

A place I have been led to time & again by those wiser & kinder than the lives I have spent.

A place that serves both as refuge and respite — a storehouse of recipes for the trepidatiously tremendous.

Some days, I witness how it acts as both destination and direction.

With no deference, it sends in a breeze that sweeps our sails with the tailwinds of intention.

It often offers a lesson. Sometimes, a message. And always, a blessing.

A place for fallen leaves that still dare to breathe with expression.

It is a space I hold sacred, and I pray you will too.

I speak of the place in which we honor our truths.

A place that beckons us forth to offer our course — our dreams, desires, yearnings, & more — to set upon an altar that is woven of warmth: a hearth.

It cares not for our falters nor our fumbles, our failures or our stumbles — those ill-forgotten humblings of happenstance and blunders.

As a dear mentor of mine once mentioned in time,

“These were simply the shedding of leaves before the season we were meant to become in.”

“So, come in,” I welcome you, to this great sprawling vastitude,

Where the halls echo a call to rejoice in your amplitude.

Where we cherish your intents and worship your abundance,

Praise your brave choice to transform the tens to the hundreds,

Or the hundreds to the one, to the singular; to become all that you’ve ever envisioned.

To listen to the song & promise of a seed, growing from root to trunk to branch to leaf,

To the heavens being tickled by the bristled flowers of your fruit, your reach

is boundless, so please remain astounded by the blissful wisdom of this truth:

Presence, as your essence, is both your power and your peace.

For the place of which this potent parable speaks, is, and always will be,

before & within you, the sanctified sinew calling you into this moment, here.

Your hearth, your home, your space of simpled serenity,

sits with palms open, inviting you in,

inviting you home

to Here

to Now.

Reflections for Growth

The Hearth Within: Think about a time when you felt truly at home within yourself. What contributed to that feeling, and how can you nurture this space more often?

The Gift of Stillness: When was the last time you allowed yourself to truly enjoy the gift of stillness and peace? What did you discover or appreciate about yourself in that moment?

Presence as Power: How do you experience the power of presence in your life? What does it mean to hold presence as both your power and your peace? How can you lean into that duality and practice this week?

Invitations for Practice

The Coming Home Meditation: Spend 5 minutes imagining an internal hearth—a warm, welcoming, and serene sanctuary where you are safe and alright just as you are. Cultivate this sense and come back to it whenever you need as the week unfolds.

A Home to Bring With You: Choose a small object—a stone, a shell, a bead, a keepsake—and place it somewhere visible for you to take with you as a reminder of your inner sanctuary. When you see it or feel it in your hand, take a moment to breathe and connect with your inner sanctum of peace.

Illuminating Truths: As you build and tend to the hearth within, what truths are you ready to offer to its light? Consider & Journal: What is it finally time to speak, express, & honor, and what would it mean to honor these truths fully in your life right now?

As you practice, please jot down your thoughts and experiences. And as always, feel free to share your reflections directly with me.

With all my gratitude & deep belief in your presence,

If you’re enjoying Weaving Wisdoms, please consider sharing it with someone you feel might enjoy it as well.
